Introducing In Floor Heating
Making your home comfortable and cozy in all seasons is the need of all, so as to ensure a contented living. The installation of a good heating system is one of the requirements that can allow you to make the rooms warm and soothing during the chilling winter season. But it is a matter of fact that the conventional heating systems are not a practical choice today, because of the reason that the cold sites in your rooms are not covered by the old gas and electric heaters. In floor heating is certainly a better option that is becoming popular nowadays.
What is In Floor heating System?
Basically, this is the installation of heating system below the floor that allows the heat to warm up even the cold spots of the rooms in an effective way. The energy sources for the heating up of floor can vary depending upon the type of system that you installed, and also your accessibility. You can make usage of any popular sources including electricity, gas or solar energy as per your own feasibility.
Types of In Floor Heating and Applicability
Coming up to the major types of in floor heating; there are three that are considered highly effective for different setups. Firstly comes the “Hydronic heating”. This is a complex system which requires the installation of a pipeline below the floor. This pipeline contains the hot water as a source of heating up the pipe and then the floor. The water is heated through a boiler machine which can use any source of energy including gas and electricity. It is a practical choice for the large setups and offices, because of the expense of installation.
The second type of in floor heating is that of “Electric Heating”. In it, the electric cables are connected to a slab which is used to warm up the floor (stone, tiles, wooden etc). This is a simple system and is easiest to install of all the under floor radiant heating systems. However, you might see a spike in your electricity bills if you install this system. Third type of in floor heating is that of Wooden Heating. The method of its installation is similar to that of Hydronic System, except that the boiler replaces the wooden box; and the energy source is that of woods. It is also complex, but is highly effective and feasible for the places where there is no shortage of woods.
